  • Why don't you offer Unlimited Hosting Packages?

    No company is able to offer a service that will truly give you unlimited disk space, there is often hidden catches like file size limits and even file type limits (eg. no videos, no pictures, only text). The same hidden restrictions exist for unlimited bandiwdth packages as well, often having a "fair use policy" with a low transfer limit. To provide the so called "unlimited" packages, these providers must oversell their resources which result in slow and poor service for everyone.

  • What is overselling?

    Overselling is basically offering and selling more then what you have (like an airline overbooking). Your provider is banking that you won't be using the resources you paid for. Our question is, why pay for something you are not going to use? And what would happen if these users actually start using these resources? The server will overload and collapse as it simply is not able to cope with the demand. The major problem with overselling is you will never know how much resources another user is consuming and if there will be anything left for you. You paid for the service and you deserve every bit of it.

  • What is Softaculous? What's so Fantastic about it?

    Softaculous is a one click script installation system. It allows you to setup a website with a blog, photo gallery, message board, or pretty much anything else with just a few clicks! It's fantastic because you don't have to worry about FTP, CHMOD, or other acronyms! Click here to learn more.

  • Will you host my adult site?

    Yes, we permit legal adult content on our servers. We reserve the right to determine the definition of "adult content" as it pertains to our services. Please contact our sales department for details.

  • Can I SSH into your server?

    We only allow SSH access to users with specific needs and the account must be in good standing. To get SSH access, please send a support ticket to our support team.

  • Will you help me transfer my current site?

    Yes. Depending on the size of the site and the speed of your existing server, it will take around 12 business hours for the move to complete. If your current host does not use cPanel it may take a little more time.

  • What if I want a package with more space/bandwidth?

    Please contact our sales department with your specific requirements. If you already have a hosting account, you may purchase additional space or bandwidth through your customer portal.

  • Do you offer (insert feature here)?

    Please email our sales team with your feature request.

  • Do you perform backups of my files?

    We perform full weekly offsite backups. However, you are ultimately responsible for making your own backups. You may create your own backups through cPanel under the 'Backups' icon.

  • Do you perform backup restores?

    Please contact our support team with the file(s) you want restored along with the date. We retend 1 month worth of backups.

  • How long does it take my account to become active?

    Most accounts are usually active within a few minutes after payment. If your account is still not active within 12 hours, please contact our sales team with your invoice and transaction number.

  • Help! I'm having trouble ordering. Who should I talk to?

    That would be our sales team!

  • Do you offer a money back guarantee?

    Yes. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not fully satisfied with your account, we will provide a 100% refund.

  • Do you accept PayPal?

    Yes, PayPal is our preferred payment method.

  • How fast is your network?

    Each server has a minimum 100 Mbps connection on a redundant gigabit backbone with a 100% network uptime SLA.

  • How long has SwiftHost.net been in Business?

    We have been around since early 2002.

  • Can I host other people under my account?

    Yes. When you pay for your hosting package, you can do anything you want (within our terms of service and acceptable use policy). You can host as many friends as you want under your account provided you do not go over your account's resources. We would recommend getting a reseller account if you intend on sharing your account with multiple people so that each person has a separate hosting account.
